These cells are activated off tap water only. With a 20/80 coca cola/water mix the VP is higher and the materials seem to hold up well. Video duration: 48 seconds A series of photo cannisters with Stainless Steel and Zinc electrodes. A mixture of 20% cola 80% tap water. I found vinegar eroded the zinc after 2 days. With a weak (flat)cola mix and no air holes in the top, each cell puts out ~1.15 volts. After five days they are still giving around the same voltage with no serious signs of zinc degradation.
